I would say that LDR cares.  All the support staff & counsellors are recovering alcoholics/addicts themselves.  They live the program.

I felt welcomed from the moment I called initially, to arriving at the house, and taking part in class.  It was made clear I could talk to any of the staff anytime if I needed to.

What would you say to a future client or someone wondering about our services?

I would say that LDR cares.  All the support staff & counsellors are recovering alcoholics/addicts themselves.  They live the program.

What would you say would be the highlights of the program?

The friendships, course work, re-connecting with my Higher power, surrendering, learning to trust in others and learning to love myself again.  Learning to recover one day at a time.

How do you feel this experience will change your life?

I am a recovering alcoholic/addict with a set of tools now.  I will no longer blame others, and take personal responsibility for my successful recovery.

Please explain why you have rated this:

I was proud in a safe environment to take a good look at myself, and make changes in my life.  I was able to apply the tools I have learned, and know they work.  I feel safe with my plan to re-enter my community & use the tools to continue a successful recovery a day at a time.  The staff here all work the 12 step program themselves.  When they say “I know what you’re going through, they mean it.  I felt safe, and was able to focus on my recovery without outside distractions.
