What do I need to bring to the Conroy Rehab Treatment Program?
Coming to a rehab treatment can be a very overwhelming task, that’s why we have made a simple list for you on what to bring. If you have any questions please contact us directly and ask your questions. If you are flying and have bags, make sure you mark your bags with our address and contact numbers, so that if they get lost they will phone the office.

Mandatory item – Health Care Card
Things to Bring to Rehab Treatment:
- Passport, or photo ID and birth certificate (if non Your choice)Travel insurance sufficient for 60 day stay in Canada (applicable to non residents of Canada)
- Toiletries, shampoo, toothpaste, soap etc..
- Bathing suits (Towels are permitted max 2)
- Stamps
- Weather-appropriate clothing and recreation wear (i.e.; rain wear, good sneakers,)
- Shower shoes/flip flops or beach shoes
- Comfortable clothing sufficient for 7 to 14 days
- Sleepwear (slippers, t-shirt, pajamas, housecoat, sweat pants)
- Fitness wear (t-shirts, shorts, or track pants and runners) for use in the fitness room or outdoor walking paths
- Medications prescribed (no narcotic medications are permitted)by physician “blister Packed” – please call if this isn’t an option
Things “Not” to Bring to Rehab Treatment:
The following list contains items that patients are NOT ALLOWED to have in their possession while taking the Conroy Alcohol and Drug Treatment Program. Any items will be destroyed upon admission or sent back to the family.
- Alcohol
- Blankets
- Cameras
- Candles
- Cards or games
- Cellular telephones or pagers
- Cheque books or cheques
- Chewing tobacco or Copenhagen products
- Cigarette rolling papers
- Cigars that are rum or wine flavored
- Clothing that depict: Alcohol/drugs gambling paraphernalia or casinos
- Computers/electronics devices
- Drug paraphernalia
- Food or drinks
- Gambling paraphernalia
- Games
- Keys
- Lottery or scratch tickets (Will be mailed home)
- Medication information printouts (unless given to you by our physician)
- Mood altering chemicals
- Musical instruments/I-Pods
- Nail polish and remover
- Perfume, cologne, after-shave or strong perfumed lotions
- Pornographic material
- Scissors
- Sexual devices
- Sexually explicit clothing
- Sheets or pillow
- Sports equipment (please ask counsellor for exceptions which will be discussed with the clinical team)
- Straight razors
- Stuffed toys
- Televisions, radios, stereos, clock radios
- Weapons
- Zippos, lighter fluid or butane
- Self-help books
- Over-the-counter medications
Please note that for the safety of others, we will be performing clothing/baggage search before entering any drug rehab treatment services. Any illegal items found on the applicant will be cause for termination and admittance will be subject for review. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to ask questions.
